The Congress was held in the organization of the Ministry of Development between October 30 and November 1, 2013, as it was the ninetieth anniversary of the first İzmir Economy Congress which was held in 1923. TEPAV Director Güven Sak made a speech at the session titled "Basic Strategies for the Development of Qualified Human Resources".            

At the Congress session topics like  "Media Eyes of Economy of Turkey" by TEPAV Director Özatay , "Livable and Competitive Cities"by TEPAV Analysts Esen Çağlar , "The Transformation of Agriculture and Food Industry" by Ozan Acar, "2014-2023 İzmir Regional Plan: Regional Analysis" by Ussal Şahbaz were discussed.Etkin Medical Devices has been awarded as one of the fastest growing 100 Turkish companies, with a growth rate of 109% and in the rank of 77th.

AllWorld Network with the leadership of TOBB and TEPAV's support to Turkey's fastest growing companies, the event was conducted to draw global scale attention on "Turkey 100 Project" and the winner was announced. Award went to from T.C. Development Minister Cevdet Yilmaz to General Manager of the company Hasan Huseyin Kara and daughter 2nd generation manager Gizem Kara.
